Starred Review, Quill and Quire, October, 2006
Here's a combination that can't miss: dinosaurs and potty humour. What more could a kid ask for? Jurassic Poop is an engaging science book that plumbs the depths of what can be learned from prehistoric poo.
Edmonton Journal, July 2006
**** Jacob Berkowitz is a science writer who clearly knows how to grab a kid's attention. Highly recommended.

With wit as well as intellectual rigor, the book explains how to find and identify fossilized excrement...The visual and linguistic flights of fancy in this book are captivating...

The gross out factor is only part of the appeal in this hilarious, fun-filled, informative, and only occasionally smelly introduction to fossil feces.
Cincinnatti Public Library Review, October, 2006
This book was very gross and disgusting...the boys at our school will LOVE it! I really thought this was a great book, and not just for boys. It had a lot of great information and interesting facts. While teaching funny and gross facts, it also teaches a lot of neat things about science. I thought the illustrations and the layout of the the book (not to mention content) made it funny and easy to read. Excellent book! Highly recommended for purchase.
