It's full of it!
The Poopcase is a carefully converted briefcase that now holds more than a dozen of the most amazing treasures of the past — coprolites, or fossil poop.
The Poopcase presentation is a 20-minute tour-de-fossil feces that's educational and fun. It's full of surprises, and the occasional fart joke. There's no better way to bring the past to life!
The Poopcase contains real coprolites from seven different types of prehistoric animals, including dinosaurs, mausasuars (ancient marine reptiles) sharks and crocodiles. These fossils range in age from about 25-million years old to more than 140 million years old. It's a journey into the past told in fossilized curly-cues, mounds and nuggets.
The presentation is a unique approach to one of kids' favourite topics — paleontology, the search for ancient life. The Poopcase presentation covers such topics as:
- The origin of fossil feces (How are fossils formed? What's a "trace" fossil?)
- How to spot poop impostors (What's the difference between a rock and a fossil?)
- How to ID the poopetrator (Is it a carnivore or herbivore's poop?)
- Telling time with ancient turds (How do scientists determine a fossil's age?)
The Poopcase is ideal for small group (less than 25 people) presentations in schools, bookstores and libraries.

Hey teachers, want more on coprolites? For larger school groups, or a longer session, the "Number Two"® includes a half-hour slide show that takes you behind-the-scenes with some of the world's greatest coprolites and coprolite hunters. There are also hands-on classroom activities. Makes for a great half-day of fossil poop discovery and learning that students won't soon forget.
